Open Audio, Rehearsals, and Devant Projects on iPhone and iPad

Open compatible audio

1. Select Select File/Project on the opening screen.
2. Choose an AAC, M4A, MP3, FLAC, or WAV file from Files. From Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or another app, choose Devant Rehearsal from that source's available Open In or Share actions when it is offered.
3. Name the new .devantrh rehearsal and choose its Files save location.
4. Wait for Devant Rehearsal to create the document and generate its waveform when needed.

Result: The original audio stays unchanged. The new .devantrh file opens as a one-track editable rehearsal with its waveform and checkpoint tray, and you can reopen it from the Files location you chose.

Open an existing rehearsal

1. Choose a .devantrh file in Files, or choose Devant Rehearsal from a received file's available action.
2. A writable rehearsal opens in the file's existing location.
3. For a readable but read-only attachment or Files-provider source, choose where to save the editable copy when prompted.

Result: The file at your chosen destination becomes the active rehearsal. The original received attachment stays unchanged.

Open a Devant package

1. Select Select File/Project and choose the .devantpkg file from Files.
2. On the project-selection screen, choose the playlist you need.
3. Choose the track to open in the rehearsal view.

Result: Devant Rehearsal opens the chosen track with the package's available rehearsal checkpoints.

Understand package changes

A .devantpkg package stays read-only on iPhone and iPad. It does not continuously synchronize with a shared cloud file or an open Desktop project.

If a shared project changes on Desktop, open the updated package from Files when you need that newer version. Use a .devantrh rehearsal when you need to save and share editable iOS rehearsal work.
