Devant Rehearsal for iPhone

Devant Rehearsal for iPhone Overview

Use the free iPhone app to rehearse one track anywhere, or open a Devant package prepared on Desktop.

Devant Rehearsal keeps waveform navigation, reusable checkpoints, and transport control in a focused iPhone view. It is useful with a single audio file and also complements Devant Desktop when you need to rehearse a prepared show away from the laptop.

Devant Rehearsal on iPhone with waveform, transport, and checkpoint tray
The iPhone rehearsal view keeps the selected track, waveform, playback controls, and checkpoint tray together.

What Devant Rehearsal is for

Use Devant Rehearsal when a phone is the better rehearsal tool: in a studio, hallway, competition venue, or any place where taking the playback laptop does not make sense.

It is a focused rehearsal app, not a replacement for the full Desktop workspace. Devant Desktop remains where you build, prepare, and organize a complete production.

Start a rehearsal

  1. Open Devant Rehearsal and select Select File/Project.
  2. Choose an audio file for a standalone rehearsal, or choose a .devantpkg file to open a project prepared in Devant Desktop.
  3. For a Devant package, choose the playlist and track you want to rehearse.
  4. Wait for the selected track to finish preparing, then use the waveform and transport controls to begin.

Result: Devant Rehearsal opens the selected track with its waveform and available checkpoints in view.

Choose the right workflow

  1. Standalone audio Open one compatible audio file from Files when you need a self-contained rehearsal. Checkpoints and waveform analysis stay available on the iPhone for that local rehearsal.
  2. Devant package Open a package prepared in Devant Desktop when you need its playlists, tracks, and existing checkpoint plan on iPhone.
  3. Apple Watch companion Use the paired Watch app for the active iPhone rehearsal's transport controls and checkpoint list. The iPhone remains responsible for playback and audio output.
